UKIP leader Nigel Farage was the clear winner, according to two snap polls - and by a bigger margin than last week. YouGov's poll for The Sun gives the debate to Mr Farage by 68% to 27%, while an ICM poll for the Guardian suggested 69% of people watching thought the UKIP man came out on top. The BBC's chief political correspondent Norman Smith suggested Mr Clegg may have been trying too hard after criticism he lacked passion in last week's debate. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-26859392Farage got his points across and Clegg had no reply to the logic of the UKIP stance - no jobs,no homes so how could we go on importing millions of people? Clegg's scaremongering about what would happen if we left the EU didn't work. As Nigel pointed out, Iceland and Norway weren't in the EU but still traded with the rest of the world. Farage a clear winner by 68/27 in the polls but by 80/20 in my opinion. Let's hope he convinced even more people to vote for UKIP and get us out of the EU and this mess.

Nigel Farage was brilliant he completed destroyed all of Nick Cleggs pro European arguments
Even Lib -Dem supporters and pro - Europeans thought Farage won
What maters now is that when the referendum is held everyone votes Not shrug their shoulders and say it will make no difference to me if we stay in or come out ,so why bother to vote?
Well it will make difference perhaps not one that is always obvious , but the EU affects us all
Did I hear correctly Danny Alexander say on the BBC News Channel after the debate that Nick Clegg won ?

Apparently he said Clegg had put his points across "incredibly successfully and powerfully." He must have been watching a different debate.

What should be worrying the Liberals more is the monumental error of judgement displayed by their leader in challenging Farage to this series of public debates. It has given Farage a level of exposure and publicity he can hardly credit, and enabled him to get his message across to a wide audience; at no cost to him or his party. Of course, Clegg has displayed errors of judgement ever since he came into the coalition. He has gone back on his word, and cast aside his beliefs whenever the result of so doing would benefit him personally, and maintain him in high office. From student fees, to constituency boundaries, to the free school meals fiasco, to his challenge to Farage, he has shown himself lacking in judgement and scruples.
His trouble, of course, is that he sees himself as some sort of intellectual giant; whereas he is rather shallow. And I agree with the general view. Farage was the clear winner.
