The answer to that used to be easy “the British Government in Westminster” Who’s members are all elected by the British elector and who all represent constituencies in Britain and are therefore know to us
Today however with so much legislation coming from the EU telling us what we can and can not do , must, and must not do It seems that they are the government and Parliament who we elect to represent us are no more than a rubber stamp doing exactly what the EU tells it
Take the case of prisoners rights to vote the majority of the British public are opposed to it and David Cameron as said the idea of it makes him sick But will he do what we the public wants or what the EU says
My betting is rather than risk the consequences of a major row with the EU he will give in
It is what the EU says that will prevails

Votes for prisoners is the least of our worries when it comes to the EU imo:
Business leaders condemned moves by Brussels to seize control of VAT on thousands of everyday items. It could send prices soaring – and even allow the EU to decide whether to slap VAT on essential foods and children’s clothes.
In a second money-grabbing proposal, the European Commission yesterday announced plans to overhaul “green” fuel tax, which could mean a new eight per cent duty on diesel.
The above is from the Express who are running a campaign to get the UK out of the EU.

When you consider that the coalition is having a hard time selling the need to make some £6 billion worth of cuts, and then recall that currently we pay the E.U.over 8 billions (and going up shortly) EACH AND EVERY YEAR, you might be forgiven for thinking that we are collectively rather stupid. Our continued membership of this insane madhouse does us no favours, costs us all at least 20% on our food bills (CAP) and we benefit not one jot. There is NOTHING that the EU offers that we could not equally enjoy as members of a common market alliance. We might as well close down Westminster, for all the good it does. Make no mistake, we are only part of the way towards becoming an offshore region of the United States of Europe. THAT is their grand design. They will find a way to control taxation, welfare, policing, and anything else currently enjoyed by the nation state. Brussels uber alles!!
Why did we ever shackle ourselves to such an unstoppable juggernaut?

And if the EU exists long enough to be come the United States of Europe assuming Westminster will be come no more than a rubber stamp for its decessions

Just what have gained from being in the EU ?
In my opinion absolutely nothing
On the other hand what have we lost ? Billions of pounds wasted in membership which over the coming years will become many billions more Money which should be used for the benefit of our own people Not swell their coffers and pay the over inflated salaries of EU burocrats
The right to govern our selves for practally every piece of legalisation we make can be over turned by them And that does not include all the new legislation that originates from Europe

Toby comments.;- There is a very easy solution and it would stop them in their tracks, they measure .303 " in diameter and they are around 32 mm long. Nice smiles, kind words, begging and pleading will get you nowhere, they will simply ignore you because they already sold us down the river for the promise of money, influence, and power. But pot one of their Kids, Wives, Parents and send a message telling them they all run the risk of getting into the crosshairs, then they would change., they would do a 180 deg. change of course and in their lying way, they would be able to justify the change so easily.
Bullies (for that is what they are), are always cowards.!
