Mr Grade, the outgoing chairman of ITV, said that viewers would “gain” if the broadcaster stopped regional news altogether. Perhaps I am in a minority but the X factor and Coronation Street has no appeal to me what so ever As for” I’m a celebrity” I rate that along with “ Big Brother” tripe +1. A minority of two now, Peter. Regards. Prashna

Well I wouldn't watch big brother or I'm a celebrity but confess to being a Coronation fan.

hmmmm personally i think its more a case of trying to attract younger viewers. I never watch the news on tv, i'd rather read it or hear about it from others, or on here!!!!! lol. I do however, watch the x factor and celebrityGMOOH when they are on. I think they want to attract more people to watch the channel and the easiest way is to go younger. And by the way ive just had a de ja vu, im sure this topic was on here several years ago and i wrote the same thing and no-one liked it!!!

hmmmm personally i think its more a case of trying to attract younger viewers. I have no objections to that on the contrary i welcome it Unfortunately in their attempts to do that the TV companies all to often drive away the older viewer when they should be aiming to attract both
