Can anyone please help me with the lyrics of an old ong which I think was called My September love and was sang my a man? You would have to be around age 60 to know this one. It came out in the days when Eddie Fisher was popular and the song may have been from a musical. It opens with something like
" I remember my September love, in my dreams I hold the memory of, lazy autumn days in all their glory etc.
and then "I see once more the the leaves that match her golden hair, in my dreams I see her standing there, and in December, I will remember my September love." What a lovely song it was.

That's it. Brilliant. Thank you so much. I must confess it left me a bit dewy eyed after not hearing it since the 1950's. It was one of my mothers favourite songs.
Not wishing to be seen to be pushing it but would you know of a song around that time that started with "Climbing rose, one the wall, take it now before the petals fall - - -and then later nothing is forever, always is a lie, I can only love you, till the day I die etc I think this was was Eddie Fisher but I am not sure. It was a long time ago.

Thank you for this prashna. I have only just noticed your message to me. Yes, this is the song I have been trying to track down. My late mother used to sing it. Thank you very much. Kind regards and best wishes.
