What about "Round the Horne" and those other Sunday lunch favourites - Hancock's Ha;f Hour and mny others. Oh - and does anyone remember the Men from the Ministry? The forerunner I suppose of Yes Minister.

The forerunner I suppose of Yes Minister. They're all alive and well and living on BBC Radio-7. At least they all have been over the past few years. They come and go, as do many other old favourites such as Journey into Space, Steptoe & Son, Radioactive, and a lot more classic comedy and drama. You need a DAB radio, or FreeView, or FreeSat / any other satellite dish and receiver. Worth every penny.

Didn't some one called George Dixon sometimes sing the nurery rhymes? Don't know about that, Peter, but I think Daphne Oxenford was the main presenter. And there was the delectable Patricia Driscoll on TV, with Picture Book. She also played Maid Marion in Robin Hood. Happy days. By the way, Dick Barton has been on BBC7 very recently. It might still be on.

I listen to BBC7 on the internet, sometimes while I'm trolling around these boards and I love the station but enjoyable as they are, the various programmes mostly seem dated. Bring back Dead Ringers.

You are perhaps correct Weyland, it was a half century ago, so that's my defence !
